Thesis Title: A Risk Based Approach to Environmental Impact of Buildings

About

I am originally from Mexico City. I did my undergraduate work in Civil Engineering at Idaho State University and am now finishing (hopefully soon) my MASc in Structural Engineering at the University of British Columbia. My particular research interest is in quantifying sustainable indicators of the built environment; things like energy, water and waste. There is much theoretical and philosophical work, but more needs to be done to grasp the complexity of sustainability through quantifiable mathematical models, especially with respect to buildings and infrastructure.

The behavioral aspects,  policy,  the interrelationship between risk and different spatial and temporal scales in life cycle thinking, urban agriculture, and environmental justice are a few of my other research interests.
