About

Currently I am a PhD candidate at The University of British Columbia. My work focuses on the intersection between ethics and aesthetics.

My dissertation aims to provide an account of moral and aesthetic judgment given that moral and aesthetic reasons are holistic. I am currently working on the epistemological side of things, where I hope to be able to give a sensibility account of seeming states. This epistemology combines both Sensibility Theory (a la McDowell) and Intuitionism (a la Huemer).

I've taught both in ethics and aesthetics. Last summer (2010) I taught the first philosophy of film course at UBC, which went over quite well. Next summer I plan to teach a course on art and ethics.
